VAPrevent
VAPrevent

Combines innovative packaging design and evidence-based guidelines with clinical education and program management.
Overview
Ventilated patients are at the highest risk for infection and therefore require the most intensive oral care regimen. Care should be administered on a Q2 or Q4 schedule to help reduce the risk factors associated with ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP).
Medline’s VAPrevent Oral Care System uses innovative design to address concerns such as consistent and timely performance of oral care. Combined with clinical education and program management, Medline’s VAPrevent Program uses evidence-based research to address the realities of a modern healthcare setting.
Developed based on the IHI Ventilator Bundle recommendations* for the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). VAPrevent kits feature compliance at a glance education on the packaging and dispense products one-at-a time in the correct order to help drive compliance within a facility. Wth the VAPrevent System, Medline offers interactive online training, continuing education courses on Medline University, a dedicated program manager for your facility and reporting to track infection rates and staff compliance.
